Introduction

The 2023 Acura RDX is a premium compact SUV that balances value with features and performance. It’s not as luxurious as some in the class, but it’s still very nice, and it’s more affordable, too. Acura launched a round of updates for the RDX in 2022, and changed nothing significant for the 2023 model year.

KBB Review Highlights

You might not associate luxury vehicles with being value purchases. Still, the 2023 Acura RDX’s balance of features and price makes it an appealing option for those seeking something more than mainstream transportation. The 2023 RDX is fun to drive, too, with a peppy 272-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Available Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) adds further dynamics and all-weather traction, and the Advance package adds an adaptive suspension that enhances both comfort and sportiness. The RDX’s cabin is comfortable and spacious — 38 inches of second-row legroom puts it near the top of its class, and there is 29.5 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats. The standard 10.2-inch infotainment display and wireless smartphone integration (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) keep it feeling modern. Look for models equipped with the Technology package if you’re keen on wireless charging and LED ambient lighting.

2022 Acura RDX Interior

The standard 2023 RDX comes with front-wheel drive (FWD), and these models, as well as those equipped with the optional all-wheel-drive system, are available with a choice of three packages: Technology, A-Spec, and Advance. All 2023 RDX models use a 10-speed automatic transmission. If you’re in the market for a CPO or used RDX, know that 2022 and 2023 models are essentially identical.
